I have a lot of shows in my iTunes library, and I've noticed that with the recent upgrade new episodes tend to "group" incorrectly.

Apparently, I'm not alone either. Here is an easy fix that will also provide a really handy utility for maintaining your iTunes TV Show tags.

Shows are supposed to group based on season, but sometimes they get broken up incorrectly, with multiple seasons grouped together.

An easy fix is to use the excellent Set Video Kind of Selected applescript, available from Doug's Applescripts .

Simply select all the episodes of a show, then (using the Set Video Kind of Selected script) rename the "Show Name" to something else. Say, change NewsRadio to NewsRadio2. Allow the script a few moments to finish, then repeat the steps, this time setting the show name back to the correct name.

Presto, All your seasons are properly grouped.

I highly recommend this script in general, it makes dealing with a lot of TV Shows super easy. Doug's Applescripts is a fantastic resource as well.
