I got a moments inspiration, and did a little site code. The updates are primarily trivial.

I updated the list order on the comments to make it a little more sane. For reasons that escape me I'd set the comments to ORDER BY desc, now it's asc.

I cleaned up the nav bar a bit, and wrote some quick link voodoo to allow me to administrate my links section. The biggest reason for this is I wanted to start linking to other sites, but I really like the clutter free display on freezerpants.

A problem I find with a lot of websites is there is either TOO much crap on the main page, or there is too much crap hidden on sub-pages. I am hesitant to post the link to my last.fm stats on the links page (this puts it two pages deep), but at the same time I don't really think it needs to be on the main page. We shall see.

I sort of intended to create the code on my own, but when I looked at the last.fm API, I caught the fact that they would prefer you limit to one query a second. While I doubt this site is going to exceed that, the chance exists...and then I saw his code in the forum. Since it's simple and clean, and required no modification (beyond where the cache file is stored) I decided to go ahead and gut it.

FREON still needs a major re-write, I really hate the way everything is starting to get fucking scattered all over...but it also needs a face lift. I am not sure yet what I want it to look like...

I guess I am going to have to decide which is more important. Based on the analytics for the site, I know the current engine layout is fucked, and it's preventing efficient crawls from happening. I've been meaning to work in some mod_rewrite rules for a while, and for the life of me I don't know why I haven't. I actually have some working just fine on my development machine, so..I guess it's just apathy.

That said, the site is getting stale. There is nothing flashy about the page, which is fine by me. I like simple. That said though, It's not "slick" looking either. I can do better than this...I just haven't.

Or I could play more UT2004, which seems likely.
