There is a new mozilla flavor out..and I loves it.
Flock has replaced Firefox as my windows browser of choice. Just a few of the sweet ass features:
- RSS Feed aggregator built in.
- Focus on all this fancy social networking shit (del.icio.us, technorati, flickr, yomommasass, etc)
- "Blog This" functionality (more on this in a moment)
- Sweet default theme (not important, I know)
- The ability to "star" favorite pages, which provides an easy visual cue if something is already bookmarked (there is more to it than that...but thats the gist)
The thing about the whole "Blog This" crap is that it of course doesn't work with
FREON. Why? I never got around to finishing my
XMLRPC module. Guess what? Now that I have discovered the joy of Flock, that particular module is getting done
ASAP.
I would warn everyone out there in TV-Land, Flock has some serious bugs. Nothing that are so heinous it would prevent you from using it, and I am sure they will be ironed out soon, but don't erase Firefox
just yet.
